How these auctions work
Every lot is checked by the broker desk before it is listed. Each lot page says how: inspected in person, or the seller's inventory records and photos reviewed.
A bid is a maximum. The auction bids on your behalf only as far as it needs to, so you pay one increment above the next bidder, never more than you authorised.
A bid in the final minutes extends the lot, so a lot cannot be won by being last to click.
Some lots carry a reserve. If it is not met the lot does not sell, and you can make the desk an offer on it afterwards.
The winner is invoiced for the hammer price, a buyer's premium and sales tax. Collection details are released once payment clears.
Commercial buyers only. We sell to businesses, not to consumers.
