Masonry & concrete
Masonry and concrete is CMU, face brick and bagged concrete, mortar and grout, and it only makes a worthwhile lot by the pallet or the truckload, which is why a mason contractor's leftover stack is worth moving. Target prices run about 20% below market and are confirmed in a written quote.

Masonry & concrete: sizes, grades and specifications
CMU is normal weight in 8x8x16 standard, 8x8x16 bond beam, 12x8x16 and 6x8x16. Face brick is modular, sold by the pallet, and the manufacturer, color name and quantity decide whether a pallet matches. Bagged goods are concrete mix and Type S mortar in 80 lb bags and non-shrink grout in 50 lb bags.
What to include when you ask for masonry & concrete
Give the unit size, the count in pallets or bags, and the pickup or delivery ZIP. For brick, send the manufacturer, the color name and a photo of a face, because color matching is the job on an addition or a repair. Typical lots are several pallets of block or bagged goods and 10,000 or more brick. Say whether a close color match or a mixed pallet works for you.
