Site & utility

Site and utility is the water, sewer and storm pipe, precast, fencing and geotextile left in sitework contractors' yards after a job closes, which is where underground crews find full sticks and coils without placing a new order. Pipe and precast are quote-only, so ask about availability and lead time.

What to include when you ask for site & utility

Give the diameter, class or DR, joint type and total footage, and include the delivery ZIP because this material is heavy haul. Typical lots are 500 lf of C900 or HDPE, 200 lf of ductile iron, 300 lf of storm pipe, 500 ft of fence with posts and five rolls of geotextile. Precast has to match the drawings, so send the structure detail.
