HVAC equipment

HVAC here is packaged rooftop units and galvanized rectangular duct, and surplus RTUs come from canceled and over-ordered commercial jobs. Both are quote-only: new equipment typically runs 4 to 12 weeks, longer on large or custom units, and a located unit ships sooner.

HVAC equipment: sizes, grades and specifications

Rooftop units cover 3 through 25 tons in gas/electric, heat pump and electric configurations at 208-230/3 or 460/3 volts. Refrigerant is R-454B or R-32 on new units and R-410A on legacy stock, so we record the refrigerant and the manufacture date on every unit we source. Rectangular duct is galvanized steel in 26 to 18 gauge, in sections and fittings from 12x8 to 30x16.

What to include when you ask for hvac equipment

Give the tonnage, voltage, heating type and the curb the unit has to land on, plus whether you can accept a different manufacturer. Say if the refrigerant matters for your job, because that decides which units we can put in front of you. A typical lot is one unit for RTUs and a full job lot for duct. Include your needed-by date and whether you can pick up or need delivery.
